At under a minute long, “eight” by twompsax is catchy as heck. You could put it on a repeating loop and maybe go a little crazy from the upbeat and simple tune, but that’s kind of the point. If you put it on repeat you’d wish your “head would turn off,” too.
The lead single off of I H8 U, which is to be released on Muddguts Records on 4/20, is a true earworm within the punk world. The short tune’s cute video is lighthearted and full of the simplicities of being a kid, of what it was like before all these wildly looping anxieties clouded mind.
Literally, there’s a kid playing a bubblegum pink guitar in a princess dress.
