Fontaines D.C. and New York City’s own, Been Stellar, graced us with two incredible back to back shows at the Brooklyn Paramount. I had the pleasure of attending and capturing snippets of the night, showing up to the Photo Pit with my little point and shoot and a dream.

Just a few months after the release of Romance, Fontaines D.C took the stage to an eager crowd with fans passionately singing along to every song, both new and old. My favorite song, Death Kink, delivered an intense and captivating performance blending raw energy with the band’s signature post-punk sound. Their setlist was a nicely curated mix of tracks from their latest album and fan-favorites from their earlier work. Now, with their North American tour complete, the band is heading across the pond for a highly anticipated European leg of their tour where I’m sure fans are excited to experience their amazing live performances firsthand.

Been Stellar’s energy is contagious, and the crowd was fully dialed in from the start. Their mix of raw grit and a distinct NYC style felt authentic and fresh. There’s a sense that they’re on the verge of something big—their sound captures the intensity of the city, but with a shoegaze influence that makes it feel both nostalgic and new.
