An odd new children’s story-turned-video featuring narration from King Krule, words by Micachu, and illustrations by Kirsty Whiten has surfaced. “How to Escape from A Wasp” has the rhyme scheme and onomatopoeia of a children’s story, but aesthetically, verbally, and sonically tailors itself to a more adult audience. Its one-part schoolyard games and two-parts Adult Swim. The video comes as part of a series of promo videos for a massive new book titled Stories for Ways and Means.

Jeff Antebi, founder of Waxploitation, “a record company, artist management company and music publisher,” has released the book after ten years in the making. With the intentions of promoting children’s literacy, the book’s proceeds will benefit non-profits from around the world such as Room to Read, Pencils of Promise, and 826 National, who work to bring schools and education to children the world over. It features 29 collaborations from the music and art world, ranging from Gary Numan and Cinta Vidal to Nick Cave and Anthony Lister.
