Brooklyn’s own Native Sun will be taking over The Dance with Public Practice and Pure Adult on February 8th to celebrate the release of their next single “Juarez” with New York label, Grand Jury. If you’ve somehow been living under a rock and haven’t gotten to see the four piece yet, they’ve been tearing up the city, getting the cops called, and inciting some of the wildest moshing I’ve ever seen. This will be not only a celebration, but a send off before the band joins White Reaper on tour on the west coast and then head to SXSW with The Muckers. Joining Native Sun will be art rock outfit, Public Practice, whose stylish synths and driving groove upgrade what traditionally could be grouped in with the ever amorphous post-punk category. Pure Adult is newer to scene but have only heard killer things about their live set so I’ll be stoked to see them for the first time. The night will be DJ’d by Curley of everyone’s favorite band, FONTAINES D.C., so no doubt there will be good tunes and good friends all night. Show’s 18+ so bring that NYU kid you met on Tinder. Doors at 7. Tix and more info here.
